Mr. Destry "Ryan" Vaughn

Destry Ryan Vaughn passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was 24 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, November 7th from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 in the chapel of Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. Ryan was born January 10, 1997 in Jackson, MS and was a life-long resident of Florence. He graduated from Florence High School and worked as an operator with ZA Construction. He loved his son dearly. He always had on his hat and sunglasses and he enjoyed music, hunting and fishing. Ryan was very inquisitive and was always planning. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Malcolm Vaughn; his great grandfather, Martin "Pap" Shows; and his grandfather Dudley H. Murphy. He is survived by his parents, Destry Vaughn of Florence and Tammy Vaughn (Jake Young) of Florence; son, Malcolm James Vaughn of Pearl; brothers, Chris (Leanna) Walker of Longview, TX and Steven Walker (Morgan Pettit) of Terry, MS and their baby, Adaline Walker; fiancé Rachel Sanders of Madison; grandmother, Charlotte Vaughn Allen of Union; great grandmother Ruth Shows of Florence; Aunt Shantel and Uncle Tracy Passons; Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Trina Vaughn; Aunt Tracey Murray; and cousins, Will, Hunter, Hayden, Jimmy, Amanda, Christina, Hayli, Bella, and Ella
