Mr. A.C. Langford

A.C. Langford, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday, July 29 and 11am until the 1:00pm funeral service Saturday, July 30, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Mendenhall Cemetery. Mr. Langford was a longtime resident of Jackson. He was a bus driver for over 38 years, having worked for Greyhound Bus Lines, the Jackson General’s and Cline Tours. Mr. Langford loved to garden and was a loving father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfie and Effie Lee Wooten Langford; brothers, L.W. Langford and Charles Langford; wife, Dorothy “Nell” Langford and daughter-in-law Lori Langford. Survivors include his two sons, Kevin Langford of Brandon and Ron Langford (Karen) of Byram; brother, Thurman Langford (Eloise) of West Point; grandchildren, Austin Langford of Brandon and Justin Hales (Ragan) of Byram; three great grandchildren, Hannah & Jackson Hales and Bailey Childers; and his companion of many years, Faye Jabour of Magee.
