Abbie Caperton

Abbie Jean Caperton, 80 , went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, November 9, 2010 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Wednesday, November 10, 2010 all at First Pentecostal Church of Jackson. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia at 3pm. Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram handling arrangements.\ \ Mrs. Caperton was born July 28, 1930 to M.M. and Rosa Lee Burge Capps in Zama, MS. She has lived in the Jackson/Pearl area since 1974 having come from Louisville. Mrs. Caperton was a homemaker and member of First Pentecostal Church north of Flowood.\ \ She is preceded in death by her parents M.M. and Rosa Lee Capps; daughter Lynn Graham; brothers Buster, Millard, and Connard Capps and sisters Ethel Adcock and Amy Whitehead.\ \ Survivors include her son Randy Caperton of Jackson; daughter Mary Anne Chatham (Bill) of Pearl; brother Donald Capps of Moss Point; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.\
