Adam Joseph Thibodeaux, passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 91. A visitation to honor Joe’s life will be held on January 30, 2024, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland at 2:00 PM.
He was born on September 28, 1932, in Biloxi and was the son of Felecian and Eunice Thibodeaux. He dedicated much of his life to serving his country as a postal worker for the United States Postal Service. He worked diligently until his retirement, leaving a legacy of hard work and commitment behind him. Outside of his career, Joe had many hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He was an avid bowler, spending many hours at the bowling alley each week. Additionally, he found peace and satisfaction in gardening and solving crossword puzzles. Joe also possessed a talent for woodcraft. One of Joe’s proudest accomplishments was being present at all his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's ball games. He cherished these moments and valued the time spent with his family above all else.
Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Inge Thibodeaux. They enjoyed a long and fulfilling marriage filled with love and shared experiences. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Germaine Thibodeaux, and parents, five brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his son Eric Thibodeaux and wife Kathy of Florence, grandchildren: Adam Thibodeaux and wife Amanda, as well as Monica Ingram and husband Heath. Joe’s great-grandchildren Tatum Rae Thibodeaux, Ramsey Cade Ingram, Troupe Myles Thibodeaux, and Palmer Knox Ingram were a source of pride for him.
