Adria Munson Coffman, born November 15, 1932 in Rockford, Illinois, died peacefully in Jackson, Mississippi on December 23, 2015 where she had lived the last 39 years. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 63 years, Fred D. Coffman, and her five children, Debra Coffman Hubbard of Georgia, Corbin "Brad" Coffman of Gulfport, MS, Jodi Coffman Gibbs (Bob) of Bartlett, TN, Scott F. Coffman (Shirley) of Fort Myers, FL, and Wendi Coffman Steadham (Ross) of Brandon, MS as well as her very special bonus daughter Barbara Mason of Gulfport, MS and her cousin/little sister Joanne Covert Baker of California. She knew the minute she saw Fred, he was the one and only and "one tall drink of water"! He knew instantly that this would be his beautiful wife with her sweet smile and big brown eyes. They were high school sweethearts. She an only child and he one of eight, some said it would never last. 63 years later they were still so in love and inseparable. They are an inspiration to us all of how to make a loving marriage last! She was the best Mom and Grandma ever and so proud of her children, 11 grandchildren and her 19 great grandchildren. She also loved her multitude of nieces and nephews and so enjoyed keeping up with all of them and their families on Facebook. Nothing made her happier or more excited than seeing all her children and grandchildren together. She was known by anyone who met her for her big smile, her big heart, and gentle, sweet nature as well as her innate sense of style! She welcomed everyone as her own into her home and her life with genuine kindness and warmth! She loved her dogs and never turned away a stray (whether animal or human). She loved her Chicago Cubs and never failed to watch them on television. It was her dream to see them win the championship; but, she was a fan regardless of the score! She used to joke about how when she got to heaven, she would look up Harry Carey and the two of them would together watch the Cubs win the world series. Her legacy lives on in the lives of all those she touched and loved! A celebration of her life will be held as determined by the family at a later date.
