Agnes Edna David

Agnes E. David of Jackson, Mississippi, died November 13, 2009, from a long battle with cancer. She was 78.\ \ Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Jackson, with the funeral Mass following visitation. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.\ \ Miss. David was born February 3, 1931. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson and a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Jackson and coached basketball at St. Mary's for many years. She was an avid sports fan and very active in the order of the Ursaline sisters.\ \ Miss. David was preceded in death by her parents, Jamelia Weber David and Waddell David; brother Sidney David; and nephew Jakie David.\ \ She is survived by her sister Marie Trebotich of Jackson; brother Nafe David of Memphis, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.\ \ Special thanks to the many care-givers, especially Sister Donata, Teresa, Lawanna, Santa, and Gertie.\ \ Donations may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church or other worthwhile organization.\
