Albert Sidney Weathersby, 83 of Jackson, Mississippi, went to heaven January 7, 2014. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, January 9, 2013 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, January 10, 2013, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Braxton Cemetery. He was born in New Hebron, Mississippi on June 3, 1930 to parents, Homer & Ollie Mae Weathersby. He graduated from Mendenhall High School, attended Co-Lin Jr. College and served in the U.S. Army from 1955-57. He was married to the late Patsy Weathersby on March 7, 1959. They lived together in Jackson before moving to Raymond, MS in 1984. He was President and founded A.S. (Sid) Grading Contractor in 1972 until his retirement in 1997 and a longtime member of Hinds Hunting Club Vicksburg, MS. He is survived by two children, Torri Weathersby-Martin and her husband James of Austin, Texas, and Charlie Weathersby and his wife Alice of Clinton, MS. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jake and Russell Weathersby and sister, Nell Dunavant of San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, MS or St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN.
