Mr. ALfred Clifton "Butch" Thornton

Alfred Clifton “Butch” Thornton, 63, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home in Richland. Butch was a good man, a great father figure to many and a great Grandpa. He was a Star Wars buff that enjoyed model airplanes and History. He collected fire department memorabilia and enjoyed watching cartoons with his grandchildren. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Marion Thornton. He is survived by is wife, Denise Thornton of Richland, children, Margaret Taylor and Patrick Thornton both of Richland; sisters, Cheryl Pennington of Arkansas and Bonnie Kennedy of Simpson County, MS; and three grandchildren, Chyenne, Ashley and Isabella Taylor of Richland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity in his name.
