Alice Burkett

Alice Virginia (Jenny) Whittington Burkett passed to her heavenly home April 20, 2011 after a long illness. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 2pm Friday, April, 22, 2011 at the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Terry Cemetery.\ \ A lifelong resident of Copiah & Hinds County, she was born Feb. 25, 1930 to Will Whittington & Neuyel Kemp Whittington. \ \ Her husband of 51 yrs, Romie M. Burkett preceded her in death, as did her parents and siblings. \ \ She is survived by 3 daughters, Gail (David) Dickerson, Robbie (Doug) Welch, Sherry B. Williams, and Del Williams, 4 grandchildren Dr. Mike (Candice) Randall, James Dickerson Jr., Brian Dickerson, Amy Spears (Chris), 3 great-grandchildren Tanner Powell, Nicholas Randall & Deagan Spears.\
