Mrs. Alice S. Gregg

Alice S. Gregg, 65, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 12th from 6-8 PM and Thursday October 13th from 9 AM until the 10 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at 1 PM at Pleasant Hills Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gregg was a long time resident of Pearl before moving to Florence 4 months ago. She was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Gregg was preceded in death by her mother, Addie Marie Sanders; father, J.D. Stanford and brother, Bobby Jack Latham. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Plazye “Joe” Gregg of Florence; sons, Travis Wayne Carr, Jr. of Florence and Trampis R. Carr (Penny) of Brandon; daughter, Tracy Carr Gressett of Florence;; brothers, Willis Stanford of Byram and Vic Welch of Conyers, GA; 6 granddaughters, Amberly Carr Hales, Alexandria Payton Carr, Elizabeth Ashlin Carr, Isabella Marie Carr, Presley Grace Carr and Addison Marie Gressett; nephews, Charles Latham, Bobby Lynn Latham, Eric Dabashi, Joey Short, and Wilson Latham; and niece, Donna Short.
