Mrs. Alice Guy Walker, 70, completed her earthly journey, Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood-South.\ \ Mrs. Walker was a long-time resident of Jackson before moving to Florence. She leaves behind a legacy of loving her Lord and putting her faith in Him. She demonstrated that love through the love for her family and being a devoted mother. She enjoyed growing flowers and loved to fish. She had retired after 25 years as store manager for The Cookie Store at the Metro Center.\ \ She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Walker; sisters: Johnette Horsley and Argie Cornett; and great-granddaughter, London Rylie Knight.\ \ She is survived by son; Jeffrey A. (Lisa) Walker of Crystal Springs; daughters: Kimberly Walker (Sandy) Brister of Jayess; Michelle Walker (Troy) Blackmon of Brandon and Sheila Walker Dickerson of Hendersonville, N.C.; sister, Ann Young of Meridian; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.\
