Mr Allen "Wayne" Hendrix

Mr. Allen “Wayne” Hendrix 73, of Crystal Springs passed away of natural causes Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his residence. Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Highland Baptist Church in Crystal Springs and also 12 noon Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the church with funeral service beginning at 1pm. Interment will follow in the Puckett Cemetery. Mr. Hendrix was born in Holcult, MS in 1943, and was raised in Puckett, MS. He was the son of the late George Hendrix and Ruby Vanderford Hendrix. He served our country in United States Army during the Viet Nam era. He was a self employed truck driver. In 2011 he moved to Crystal Springs where he was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He leaves behind his mother, Ruby Burkes of Puckett, his loving wife, Jenny Hendrix of Crystal Springs, two sons, Mark Hendrix of Puckett and John Hendrix of Pelahatchie, one daughter, Theresa (James) Kelly of Crystal Springs, and several step children, Kimberly (Eric) Gieger of Magee, Joleen McSwain of Florence and Tony Ishee of Crystal Springs, and a foster son, Jesse Kelly also of Crystal Springs.
