Allene Nicholson

Allene Nicholson, 84,passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 10am Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood South.\ \ Mrs. Nicholson was born April 18, 1924 in Benton, MS to Monroe and Middie Madeline Pierce. Having lived in the Jackson area for 40 plus years, she had worked for McRae's Department Stores as a Sales Associate. Mrs. Nicholson was a member of Daniel Memorial Baptist Church.\ \ Survivors include her son, J.T. Moore, Jr. (Carey) of Jackson; daughters, Terry Strowd (Milton) and Janette Miller both of Jackson; sisters, Faye Harvey of Brandon, Betty Pierce of Vicksburg, Ruby Cleland of Dawsonville, GA, and Shirley George of Wildwood, Fl; five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.\ \ \
