Angela Marie Castaldi

The life of Angela “Angie” Marie Castaldi came to an end on Sunday, July 7th, 2024, when she passed from this earthly life. A resident of Pearl, Mississippi, she had waged a courageous five-year battle against cancer and was only 64 at the time of her death. 

Born December 15, 1960, Angie was a life-long resident of the Metro Jackson community. She grew up in the Forest Hills area of Jackson and was a member of St. Therese Parish. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School and immediately accepted a position with Brown Bottling Group that began a lifelong 46-year career with the company. Throughout her career, she graciously volunteered to assist the company with its philanthropic projects to include the Adopt-A-School program, Pepsi Pops, and countless others. 

Her children and grandchildren, who affectionately called her Nonna, were the loves of her life, and she put up a valiant fight to remain in their lives following her cancer diagnosis. Angie was also an accomplished cook who loved to shower her co-workers with surprise treats. Angie enjoyed trips to the beach and was happiest when feeling the Gulf sand beneath her feet. She was a friend to all who will be sorely missed by her family, friends, co-workers, and her puppy Dash.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ida Munn, and Danny P. Castaldi, her brother Michael Castaldi and her husband Kevin Maddox. Angie is survived by her daughters Danielle Herrington (Derick), and Ashley Smith, her sister Patsy Kaleel (Ed), and her grandchildren Khloe Nicole Herrington, John Kaiden Herrington, Ivan Paul Smith, and Carson Taylor Herrington.

The family wishes to acknowledge the tireless efforts of the members of Angie’s Brown Bottling Group family who assisted them with providing care for their mother. They also wish to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Baptist Hospital for the care and comfort they provided Angie in her last days. 

Chancellor Funeral Home at 2576 US Highway 49 in Florence is handling arrangements for the family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 12:00-3:00 p.m. and will be followed by a funeral service immediately thereafter. Interment and a graveside service will be held at Crestview Memorial Gardens, 1106 Star Road, Brandon, Mississippi.
