Anita Jo Mize Polk died on Sunday, April 24, 2011. She was born September 26, 1930 to Edwin S. and Susie Mae Mize. \ \ Anita was a 1948 graduate of Central High School. She earned both her undergraduate and masters degrees from Mississippi College. She spent her career in education, teaching math at Callaway High School.\ \ \ She was a long-time member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church and presently is a member of Wynndale Baptist Church.\ \ \ Anita is survived by husband of 57 years, Billy R. Polk; children Doug Polk, Kay Guyton (Larry) and Steve Polk; grandchildren Jason Polk (Laura), Matt Guyton and Will Guyton; sister, Suzanna Orr (Bill); sister-in-law Pap Mize. She is predeceased by parents and brothers Dr. Edwin S. Mize, Jr. and W.G. (Jerry) Mize. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.\ \ \ Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, April 26, 2011 and 10am until the 11am funeral service on Wednesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. \
