Sarah Ann James, 86, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 15, 2019 from Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Her funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel where the service will conclude. Ms. Ann will be interred in Terry Cemetery. Ms. Ann was a lifelong resident of Terry, MS. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Terry and served as treasurer of her Sunday School Class. Ms. Ann loved animals and she was a sports fan, especially fond of the Atlanta Braves. Survivors include: her brother-in-law, Tommy Duncan; four nieces, Jackie Bailey of Byram, Dorinda (Mike) Kirby of Terry, Cheryl (Dean) Taggart of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Gayla (Bruce) Coleman of Madison; two nephews, Dennis (Liz) Duncan of Terry, and Richard Posey of Terry; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Byron James; her parents, Clinton Posey and Nettie White Posey; four siblings, Virgil “Buzz” Posey, Roy Posey, Bessie Duncan, and Pat Gaddy; and one niece, Gennie Butler.
