Lilla Ann Casey Long, 83, passed away on November 25, 2016, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland from complications of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, November 27, with Funeral Services to follow at 3:00pm in the Chapel at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Mrs. Long was an active member of the Mary Bozeman Class at Marvin United Methodist Church and the Florentine Club. She spent most of her life in Florence, graduated from Florence High School and loved the area. No matter how life events pulled her away from Florence, Mrs. Long always found a way to return. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Long; her parents Minnie Lee Smith Lowry and Allen Lowry; her natural father, Artie Lee Casey (who died just before she was born in 1933); brother Artie Lee Casey; sister Minnie Lee Casey Dykman; and granddaughter Casey Jean Ford-Ford. Mrs. Ann Long is survived by her very dear friend Mr. Milton "Bud" Singletary of Florence; two daughters; Debbie (David) Shivers Ford of Germantown, TN and Robin (Wayne) Shivers Seitz of Florence; four grandchildren; Linay (William) Ford Rogers of Signal Mountain, TN, Lee (Tony) Ford Parrish of Collierville, TN, Mandy (Josh) Trammell Phillips of Clinton and Shane (Jenn) Shivers Trammell of Florence; and eight great grandchildren.
