Mrs. Annie Bernadine Stewart Butler, 85, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her home in Harrisville after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2nd from 5-8 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Wednesday, July 3rd from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at Harrisville Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery. A native of Pearl River County, Mrs. Butler has called Harrisville home since 1989 moving from south Jackson. She was an active member of Harrisville Baptist Church as long as her health allowed. She was a charter member of Oak Forest Baptist Church in Jackson and a 1948 graduate of Gilfoy School of Nursing. After graduation she worked at Forest General in Hattiesburg, was one of the first employees of Hinds General Hospital, and retired from Methodist Rehab Center. She enjoyed her family and living in the country. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clyde Butler of Harrisville; son, John C. (Wanda) Butler of Bowie Maryland and their children Sara and Michael Butler; daughter, Deborah Butler of Los Alamos, N.M. and her children, Jennifer (Ryan) White and Ellen (William) Trachman and Barbara A. (Tullis) Duplichain of Richland, MS and her son, Dylan Duplichain; brother, Zeno Stewart of Meridian; and 3 great grandchildren, Kathryn White, Meira and Turner Trachman. The family would like to say a special thank you to her caregivers, Sarah White and Zyonda Adams. Those serving as pallbearers will be Tim Butler, Grady Dear, Glenn Harris, Troy Griffin, Carl Parker and Jarred Cummins. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association National Office. 225 N.
