Mr. Arthur Fletcher Dortch Jr.

Arthur Fletcher Dortch, Jr., 72, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Terry, MS. Visitation will be Friday, January 23rd from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, January 24th from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Mr. Dortch was a member of First United Methodist Church in Richland and Cushman Scooter Club of America. He enjoyed driving Charter busses for over 30 years and loved to ride motorcycles. He was a caretaker for Dr. Polk’s Farm in Terry. Mr. Dortch was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Fletcher Dortch, Sr. and Jewel Knott Hackler. He is survived by his wife Carol Dortch of Richland; daughter, Lisa (David) McAlpine of Richland; brothers, Earl Dortch of New Augusta, Harvey (Ruby) Dortch of Richland and Nolan (Judy) Dortch of Richland; sisters, Joyce (Jimmy) Lee of Richland and Lynda (Billy Ray) Byrd of Florence; grandsons, Steven Dortch and Preston McAlpine both of Richland; and step granddaughter, Jordan McAlpine of Brandon. The family would like to say a special Thank You to his friend, Dr. J.D. Polk.
