Banks D. “Sonny” Sullivan, 72, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Trinity Mission Health with his daughters by his side. He was born August 30, 1944 in Philadelphia, MS, to the late B.D. and Lucille Sullivan. He retired from Packard Electric after serving 20 years as a loyal employee. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman sharing his love of the outdoors with his many grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Clunan Sullivan, brothers: Larry Sullivan, Kenneth Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Ronnie Sullivan, and Donnie Sullivan. Sisters: Bobbie Jo Duncan, Betty Sue Burnside, Kathy Covington, Dorothy Johnson, and Alice Adams. He is survived by daughters: Samatha McTague (John) of Burbank, CA, Lynn Chandler of Brandon, Kimberly Childress (Mike) of Byram, and Susan Morris (Mike) of Clinton. Grandchildren: Anthony Walling, Amanda Walling, Ashley Walling, Morghyn McTague, Justin Chandler, Hilary Childress, Ian Childress, Mackenzie Morris and Mallory Morris, sister Donna Hardy, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to C.A.R.A. -Community Animal Rescue & Adoption of Jackson, MS. Visitation will be 5-7pm Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.
