Barbara Dulaney

Barbara Dulaney passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at UMMC in Jackson.  She was 74 years old.  She was born to the late George Bundy, Sr, and the late Mary Elizabeth McCord Bundy of Canton, OH. 

Barbara was born in Canton, OH where she lived until the early 1980s.  She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger.  She welcomed adventure and impressed everyone when she loaded up her Stingray Corvette and headed to Jackson, MS with her job at Emery Air Freight. She eventually worked as a bookkeeper in many nursing homes in and around Jackson, MS and later at Westerfield Sewer and Drain in Byram, MS.  She settled in Terry, MS, with her only child; daughter Lacy and son-in-law Jeff Thomas and her 3 grandsons.  She had enjoyed her retirement with her cat, Shaddie in her “tiny house” that she was so proud of.  She was a lover of all things flowers and NFL football.  And lived for her grandsons sporting events!

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.  George and Mary Bundy of Canton, OH, sister-in-law, Phyllis Bundy, and nephew, Scott Bundy.  Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lacy Dulaney Thomas (Jeff); 3 grandsons, Trey Kelly, Brennan Thomas, and Reaves Thomas; a brother, George Gerald “Deedle” Bundy, Jr. of Louisville, OH; sister, Jessica Bundy Grimes of Navarre, OH; nieces and nephews, Angela Nicholson (Ken) of Medina, OH, Lori Bundy of Louisville, OH, Michelle Allen (Tim) of Rock Hill, SC, Jamie Grimes of Navarre, OH, and Lauren Ainsworth of Terry, MS, and many years’ worth of friends.
