Barbara Faye Hinson Doan

Barbara Faye Hinson Doan passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Briar Hill Rest Home in Florence, MS. She was 88. Barbara was born in Bogalusa, LA on June 3, 1934 to the late William and Ollie Peacock Hinson. She was a resident of Pearl, MS for most of her life and worked as an investigator for the Federal Government for 35 years. Her hobbies included sewing, spending time with her dogs and most of all she enjoyed spending time, loving on and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Millard Frank Hedgepeth (1965) and Elton C. Doan (2021).

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Jane Patrick of Florence; four grandchildren, Chad Hedgepeth of Florence, MS, Frank Odom of Pearl, MS, Curt Patrick III (Cheniece) of Richland, MS and Karlie Olivia Patrick of Florence, MS; three great grandchildren and her sister, Wilhelmina Harris of Collins, MS.

A graveside service will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 2 PM.
