Mrs. Barbara Ann Horton

Barbara Ann Murray Horton, 82, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. Visitation will be 5:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, December10, 2015 and 1:00pm until the 2:00pm funeral service Friday, December 11, 2015, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Puckett Cemetery. Mrs. Horton, reared in Fannin, MS lived the last 5 years in Clinton having come from South Jackson. Known as “Nurse Barbara” for over 40 years, she retired from the Children’s Clinic as a Pediatric Nurse. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton and a former member of Epworth UMC. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years John E. Horton, Jr. Survivors include her son Mark (Stephanie) Horton of Terry and their children Hayes and Gracie; son Brian (Lisa) Horton of Brandon and their children Hunter, Peyton, Drew and Hallie; her sister Christine McDaniel of Brandon.
