Barbara Parker

Mrs. Barbara Jo Parker, 64, died at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, August 25, 2009. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Clear Creek in Taylorsville, MS.\ \ Mrs. Parker spent most of her life in Laurel before living in Pearl. She was a loving, caring friend, mother and nurse. She retired as a Registered Nurse with Hudspeth Center.\ \ She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bee" Parker and parents, Johnny L. and Johnnie Stevens and a grandson, Christian Talley.\ \ She is survived by sons: William H. Parker, Jr., of Florence, John Steven Parker of Pearl and Eugene M. "Pete" Parker of Clinton; daughter, Candice Parker Talley of Florence; sister, Mollie Stevens of Laurel; sister-in-laws: Hattie Parker Sherman of Pearl and Myrtle Parker Gambrell of Taylorsville; ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.\ The family wants to give a special thanks to nurses and staff of St. Dominics Hospital and Hospice Ministries for their love and care.\ \ Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd., Ridgeland, MS 39157.\ \
