Mrs. Barbara Jo White

Barbara Jo Starnes White, 62, took her heavenly flight to be with the Lord Sunday at 3:45pm September 11, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 5-8pm Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral Services will be 11am Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Christ Sanctified Holy Church in Terry with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Barbara was born in Jackson, MS to the late Ford and Louise Starnes. She was a 1972 graduate of Forest Hill High School and retired from University of Mississippi Medical Center as Administrative Assistant in the OB-GYN Department. She was an avid cook, enjoyed camping and was the rock of her family by being a wife, a mother and grandmother. She was truly a faithful, steadfast, inspirational advocate for Christ Sanctified Holy Church through preaching, singing and sharing the gospel. Her testimony was always about the love of Christ and how she wanted to tell everyone how much she loved them. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Starnes. Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, John William White of Terry; son, Travis (Kelly) White of Terry; daughter, Nickie White Breaux of Terry; grandson Taylor Alan Breaux; granddaughters Addison Marie White and Melody Joy White.
