Mrs. Barbara Jean Womack

Mrs. Barbara Henry Womack, 85, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, June 7, 2019. She was laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Florence Cemetery in Florence, MS. Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence handled the arrangements. A long- time resident of Florence, MS, she was born Barbara Jean Henry on December 15, 1933 in Chattanooga, TN the youngest child of James William Henry, Sr. and Anna Louise Hardin Henry. A natural caregiver, she had a lifelong passion for family and offered a mother’s love to many more than just her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed, antiques, technology, and current events. Along with her parents, Mrs. Womack was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Lee Womack and siblings, James Henry, Jr., Walter Henry, Charles Henry, and Gloria Henry Dillow. She is survived by her children, Judy Womack McClure (Kevin) of Richland, MS, Anthony “Tony” Hoyt Womack of Florence, MS, and Melanie Jean Womack of Florence, MS; grandchildren, Jennifer McClure Johnson (Daniel) of Carthage, MS, and Marshall Burton McClure of Morrisville, NC; and great granddaughter, Lauren Lynn Johnson.
