Visitation will be 11:00am until the 2:00pm service time Friday, November 16, 2007 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories, Florence, MS.\ \ A lifelong resident of the Jackson area, Sweetie was a graduate of Central High School and a member of Alta Woods United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and always put her family first. She loved every single creature and will be deeply missed by her cat Bootsie and her dog Prince.\ \ She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Ethel Johnson and her brother B.C. Johnson.\ \ She is survived by her husband Ray (Buster) Barrett, Jr. of Byram; son Jimmy Barrett of Byram; daughter, Virginia Ann Durham and husband Jim of Madison; grandson, Chris Barrett of Jackson; sister, Anne Keys of Collins ; sister-in-law Peggy Johnson of Jackson and many nieces and nephews.\ \ Memorials may be made to her favorite charity the MS Animal Rescue League.
