Mrs. Beatrice S. Greer

Mrs. Beatrice S. Greer, age 87, currently of Braxton, MS exchanged this life for eternity in heaven on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends for visitation, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Restoration Church in Florence, MS. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Greer was a vibrant and colorful individual and, in her honor, the family would like for those attending to wear bright colors and hats. Following her service in Florence, she will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Okeechobee, FL later this week. Mrs. Greer was born November 27, 1934, in Okeechobee, FL, the daughter of Henry Ellis Smith and Jerutha Hicks Smith. Over her life, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, served as president of the Garden Club in London, KY, and for the last 10 years, attended Restoration Church. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husbands, Jesse Lee, Jr. and Willie D. Greer, and siblings, Marvin "Buddy" Smith, Glen Bryant Smith, Jeanette Waldron, and Mable Purviss. She leaves to cherish her memory one son and daughter-in-law, Jesse Wayne and Linda Lee; grandchildren: Traci Lee (children: Katie and Joseph Deschamps and Alivia and Noah Lee), Patty Wagoner (Gary and son, Gary Wayne), Danny Jones (Sherri), Debbie Hill (Sammy), Betty Hodge (Mike), Michael Neese (Sarah), Stacey Neese (Sandra), Christy Phillips (Jeremy), and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Chancellor Funeral Home for her funeral expenses.
