Benny Sebren was born on July 10, 1952, in Brandon, MS, and entered into his heavenly home on August 4, 2022. He spent much of his childhood in Brandon on Highway 471 where he learned about farming from his grandfather and cooking from his grandma. Benny loved spending time in the kitchen or on the grill, preparing delicious meals for family.
After graduating from high school, Benny served in the National Guard for 13 years as a diesel mechanic and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He also worked in construction and as a truck driver. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His basset hounds, Chopper, and then Buddy, could often be found riding shotgun with him as they enjoyed the outdoors together.
Benny married Delores Williamson Sebren on September 6, 2003, and they walked with the Lord together. He sang praise and worship at Cornerstone Church, served in prison ministry, and had a gentle spirit and warm smile. The family finds comfort in that Benny’s soul rests at peace.
Benny was preceded in death by father, James Richard Sebren, and his mother, Janella Brock Sebren. He is survived by his wife Delores; son Chad and wife Jennifer, and their daughter Aly; his brother Eddy, son Richard, and wife Nghi; and stepchildren James Zack Cherry and Christy Walker.
