Mrs. Bertha Louise Horne

Bertha Louise Hodge Horne, 85, went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2018 in Center, TX. Visitation will be 9am until the 11am funeral service Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Bolton Cemetery in Bolton, MS. Mrs. Horne was born in Laurel, MS to the late William Michael Hodge and Ethel Ola Thompson Hodge. She was a resident of Jackson for most of her life, where she was a homemaker and devoted mother to her family. Mrs. Horne loved nature and enjoyed the outdoors, animals and flowers. She had a great love for people and was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Jackson. Survivors include her son, Greg Horne of Byram; daughters, Mary E. Dickerson of Center, TX, Sue (D.J.) Ammons of Murfreesboro, TN and Amanda Mitchell of New Albany; brothers, James Ernest Hodge of Pearl, Harles Hodge of Jackson and Earl Hodge of Terry; sisters, Peggy Sullivan of Pearl and Ardell Jordan; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
