Bessie Batton

Bessie C. Batton, 82, died Friday May 7, 2010 at Henry Medical Center in Atlanta, GA. Visitation will be 10am-12noon Monday May 10, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Graveside Services will follow at 2pm at the Utica Cemetery. \ Mrs. Batton was born in Hainesville, LA a daughter of the late Noah and Velma Miles Parker. She was a resident of Utica for about fifteen years. Mrs. Batton loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them and reminding them of the good old days when she grew up. She was a talented quilter. Mrs. Batton also enjoyed spending time with her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert M. Batton and her son Rueben Chandler. Survivors include her son Barry (Tina) Chandler of Florence. Daughters, Becky Reece of Atlanta, GA and Margie (Martin) Lindsey of Brandon. Sister, Busch Bryan of Monroe, LA. 14 Grandchildren and numerous Great-grandchildren
