Bettie Janice Robinson

Mrs. Bettie Janice Robinson, 82, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on October 10, 2022.

Bettie was the country girl who took on the big city of Jackson, MS and found a job working at a bank.  At that time, her neighbor helped to introduce her to a handsome gentleman, John Robinson, who quickly became the love of her life and later her husband.  After marriage, they settled down and raised two daughters who were her world.  In order to be with her children all the time but still provide for the family, she began keeping children in her home.  This was truly her calling.  She had a natural gift with such a huge heart and all the children adored her.  This wasn’t your average daycare; all the children she kept were family. Each week she took everyone to classes, library, parks, zoo, skating rink but every Wednesday night she took them to church.  As she raised her family, John loved to travel and took her places she had never been.  He took her all around the entire United States and internationally.  After retirement, she continued to help raise her grandchildren.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Jewel Boydstun; in-laws, Hyman and Georgia Robinson; brother, Homer Boydstun, Jr.; son-in-law, Bret Perry and brother-in-law, Hyman Robinson, Jr.  She is survived by her husband, John Robinson; daughters, Melissa Perry, husband Bill Krajewski and Connie (Mark) Williams; sister, Barbara Ming, sister-in-law, Nina Robinson; grandchildren, Karin (Devin) Kahan, Kathryn (Chris) Norsworthy, Zane Williams (girlfriend, Shelby McNeece), Aliza Williams (boyfriend, Zacary LeBlanc), step-granddaughter, Haley Krajewski; great-grandchildren, Jaime, Kyleigh, Cydnee, Trayden, Madily, Delaney Norsworthy and Macklin, Ellis, Abbott, Lenora, Roland (due in December) Kahan.
