Betty Byrd

Betty Byrd, 68, died September 5, 2009 at her home.\ \ Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 P.M. Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence. Funeral services are 10am Tuesday at the funeral home with interment following at Star Cemetery.\ A native and lifelong resident of Rankin County, Mrs. Byrd lived in Star since 1963. A loving mother, she retired from the Brandon Middle School Cafeteria three years ago and was a member of the Star Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Huey Byrd.\ \ Mrs. Byrd is survived by her son Floyd Byrd and wife Sheryl of Florence; daughter Sheila Byrd of Star; Brothers Walter Wynn of Brandon and Donald Wynn of Florence; Sister Carolyn Bunyard of Pearl and 4 grandchildren Kelly ( David) Pugh, Nicholas Byrd, Justin Ainsworth, and Paula Menear..\
