Mrs. Betty Ruth Daugherty

Betty Ruth Daugherty, 72, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at her home in Richland. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 26th from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. Mrs. Daugherty was a long-time resident of Richland. A devout Christian, she was a member of Monterey United Methodist Church. She was very intelligent, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cards, and Soduko. She loved her family, spending time with her friends, traveling, and camping. She was very funny and will be remembered for her quick wit. Mrs. Daugherty is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Bertaut; brothers-in-law, Erchel Wilcher and Jerry Cottingham; and sister-in-law, Sue Wilcher. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Curtis R. Daugherty of Richland; son, Terry (Shannon) Daugherty of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Kristin (Paul) Burtnett of Richland, MS; brother, Tom (Joan) Bertaut of Jackson; Geraldine Cottingham of Vicksburg; and grandchildren, Anna, Alec and Abby Burtnett of Richland; Benjamin Daugherty of Loedingen, Norway, Olivia Wright of Athens, GA, and Faith Wright of Colorado Springs, CO.
