Mrs. Betty Jean Self Lamb

Mrs. Betty Jean Self Lamb, 75, went to her heavenly home peacefully surrounded by her children on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her home in Pearl. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22nd from 5-8pm and Wednesday, December 23rd from 10am until the 11am Funeral Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A Graveside service will follow at 2pm at Pinecrest Cemetery in Tchula, MS. Mrs. Lamb loved to cook, sew, shop and grow flowers, but her most favorite pastime was being with her children and grandchildren she loved with all her heart. I ask each of you to remember the good times. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Lamb is preceded in death by her parents, George and Georgia Self; husband, Larry G. Lamb; two grandsons, Jeffery Thornton and Neal Rodgers; and son-in-law, Kerry Hawkins. She is survived by her six daughters, Robbie (Bay) Thornton of Florence, Debbie Hawkins of Pearl, Teresa Kent of Pearl, Shelia (Charles) Moore of Byram, Terri Clark of Greenwood and Stacy (Dave) Bradshaw of Greenwood; four brothers; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. As the song says: “Look for me for I will be there too.”
