Mrs. Betty Lunsford

Graveside services for Betty Ray Lunsford, 82, of Raymond will be held at 10:00 am Friday, February 21, 2014 at Rosemont Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Lunsford died at 7:59 pm Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Jackson, MS to George Kitchens and Ellie Mae Kitchens. Survivors include her son James Lunsford, Jr. of Crystal Springs; three daughters - Brenda Lunsford of Houston, TX, Linda Lord of Lucedale, and Tammy Lunsford of Raymond; three brothers - Dick Kitchens and Danny Kitchens both of Pascagoula, and Richard Kitchens of Vicksburg; two sisters - Sally Newsome of Jackson and Bobbie Jean Cowan of Raymond; 8 grand-children, 8 great-grand-children, and 2 great-great-grand-children. Mrs. Lunsford was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James W. Lunsford, her son George Lunsford, and her brother Lamar Kitchens. Visitation will be between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, and between 8:00 am and 9:30 am Friday, February 21, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.
