Mrs. Betty Joan Means Myers

Betty Joan Means Myers, 83, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her home in Star surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday, October 3, 2016. Funeral Service will be at 1pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 with a visitation beginning at 11am all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl, MS. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Florence Church of Christ. She was a homemaker who loved flowers, cooking and her church. She loved her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Gladys Means; brothers, John and James Means; sisters, Helen Means Howell and Merle Means McGee. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Glenn Myers of Star; sons, Kenneth H. (Donna) Myers and David R. (Connie) Myers both of Star; Shannon C. (Nancy) Myers of Harrisville; daughters, Glenna Kay (Burt) Dilmore of Mendenhall and Glenda Fay (Ben) White of Shongaloo, LA; brother, Dwyn Means of LaPorte, TX; sister, Renvah Means James of Puckett; 10 grandchildren, Jason Dilmore, Melissa Dilmore (Chad) Grantham, Amanda Myers, Rebecca Myers (Rusty) Teague, Kendall Myers, Aleisha Kelley (Casey) Hughes, William Shayne Kelly, Kaitlyn Myers, Grace Myers, Jackson Myers; 5 great grandchildren, Dalton Grantham, Amy Grantham, Wesley Teague, Walker Teague and Jase Myers; 3 step great grandchildren, Brayden Gordon, Jake Gordon and Caden Hughes, and nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Jones, Mike Abernathy, Kerry Parrish, Tim Butler, Kevin Myers and Ryan May.
