Mrs. Betty Jean Norrell

Mrs. Betty Jean Norrell, 87, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday, December 6th from 5-7 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Monday, December 7th from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service at Briar Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Norrell has lived in Florence since 1975 moving from South Jackson where she was a member of McDowell Road Baptist Church. She is a member of Briarhill Baptist Church. Mrs. Norrell is preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Norrell. She is survived by her sons, Grant Norrell of Clinton and Scott Norrell of Florence; brother, James A. (Louise) Atwood of Brunswick, GA; sister, Juanita Simmons of Leland, MS; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Amber Norrell.
