Mrs. Betty Dorman Rogers

Mrs. Betty Mills Dorman Rogers, 86, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016, at St. Dominic’s Hospital, Jackson. Visitation will be Monday, June 13, 2016, from 5-7pm at Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 11am Chancellor Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood South cemetery in Jackson. Mrs. Rogers was born November 14, 1929, in Quitman County, MS to the late Thomas R. Mills and Mary Cordell Mills. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred L. Dorman; her second husband, Layton Rogers; and her son Ricky Dorman. Survivors include her two sons, Victor Dorman (Sharon) of Jackson; and Gary Dorman of Byram; her brother, Buddy Mills of Darling, MS; and three sisters, Sue Skelton (Clyde) of Utica; Irene Tortorich of Slidell, LA, and June Mills of Utica; six grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
