Mrs. Betty Ruth Odom Gilliand

Betty Ruth Odom Gilliand, 84, of Huntsville, passed into the Lord’s keeping Tuesday, Sept. 18th, Betty joins her parents; husband, Bennie Jerrold; and son, Gerald, in everlasting life. Her memories shall be kept alive by her daughter, Beverly Gilliand-Parks; sisters, Margaret Ervin, Viola Johnston, Ruby Kel¬ly, Betty Stewart; and Barbara Tharp; as well as an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, well, simply too nu¬merous to list. Her family pays this tribute: “Betty was one of the sweetest souls you ever hoped to meet and she opened her sweet heart to everyone she met.” Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21st, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. There will also be a visitation at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS Monday, Sept. 24th from 1:00 until the 2:30pm funeral service in the funeral home chapel.
