Mrs. Betty May Stevenson

Betty May Stegall Stevenson, 79, Went home to be with her Savior this Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her home in Florence. Family and friends will gather from 9:30 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service on Friday, April 15th at First Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will follow at Florence City Cemetery. Everyone who knew her was touched by her deep love delivered with great determination. She showed us this love with gifts from her heart created by her nimble hands putting paint to porcelain, needle to clothe or icing to cake. We feasted and learned. We learned from her how to spread joy by using the gifts God gave us. And we trained up our children...and they in turn begin to train up their own. What a rich legacy our mother has left us. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Stevenson. She is survived by her children, Jim Stevenson of Brandon, Mark Stevenson of Dallas, TX, Julie Evans of Kansas City, MO, and PaTricia Rone of Union, KY; brothers, Harry Stegall of SC and Larry Stegall of Oregon; sisters, Susie Lyon of MO and Connie Fullmer of FL; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
