Mrs. Bettye King Myers

Bettye Lea King Myers passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon. She was 75 years old. There will be a family led Memorial Service on Monday, March 29th at 6:00 p.m. at Move Church in Pearl. Mrs. Myers was born June 10, 1945 in Hazlehurst, MS to the late Mike and Florence King. She has lived in Pearl most of her life where she was a member of Pearson Baptist Church. She worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant at UMMC. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She was very interested in family history. Bettye was a caretaker to everyone and she enjoyed being outside and working in her yard. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Myers and her brother, Robert Earl King. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Scott) Dewberry of Pearl; son, Mike (Marlys) Myers of Pelehatchie; grandchildren, Britnee (Chris) Barnett, Tanner Dewberry, Brower Myers, and Cam Dewberry; great grandchildren, Hutson and Harper Hastings and Maley Barnett; and brother, Jerry King of Como, MS.
