Beverly T. Smith entered her new Heavenly home on Monday, April 8, 2024, in Yazoo City, MS. She was 75 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 4:30-5:30 Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Jesus Name Tabernacle in Florence, MS. The service will begin at 5:30p.m. with Pastor Max Smith officiating. Interment will take place at Westbury Cemetery in Woodville, MS.
Beverly was born on August 23, 1948, to Clevie Tibbitts and Jewell Faye Vines Tibbitts in Tyler, TX. She was a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle. She loved going to church and reading her Bible. Beverly enjoyed crocheting and working sudoku puzzles. She also had the pleasure of home schooling her great grandchildren. She was also known for making her famous chocolate pies.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne Smith; and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Jim Smith; sons, Shane Smith (Lucy) of Yazoo City, Jimmy Smith (Ruth) of Picayune; caretakers, Harold Edenfield of Yazoo City, Antionio and Stalaina Wright; 22 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Phillips, and Maxie Vines (Wendy); and sisters, Nancy Wisner and Sally King.
