Beverly O’Cain Wootan, 64, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday, April 5, 2017 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Thursday, April 6, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Wootan, a longtime resident of Jackson, was born in Morton, MS to the late James and Mary Evans O’Cain. She was a graduate of Morton High School and attended East Central Community College. Mrs. Wootan enjoyed working with her husband in their business EZ Moving Company, where she served as partner and secretary. In the beginning of her career she drove a tractor trailer cross country every week for a year and loved it! She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Sammy Lovette. Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Tommy Wootan of Jackson; son Thomas Wootan of Jackson; daughter, Tiffany Regan Windgate (Ricky) of Jackson; brothers, James Lee O’Cain (Michelle) of Morton and Travis O’Cain (JoAnn) of Lena; two grandchildren, Christian Wootan and Emily Windgate; and a nephew she loved like a son “Little Sam” Lovette and his wife and two children, all of Morton, MS, her extended family and a host of friends.
