Billie "Bill" Bryan Loveless, a retired South Central Bell executive, passed away on June 6, 2015 after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 78. Bill was born on February 7, 1937 in Booneville, MS. He graduated from Biloxi High School in 1955 and began his career as a lineman with South Central Bell in Biloxi, MS in 1956. He held many positions in the company along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and later worked in management in Monroe, Shreveport, Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA and also in Birmingham, AL. His last position with the company was in Jackson, as the Vice-President of Network Operations for the state of Mississippi. Bill retired in 1994 after 39 years of service. He married the love of his life, Ann Marie in 1963 and they celebrated 52 years of happiness together, retiring in Jackson and later moving to Clinton, MS. A loving father and devoted husband, he also enjoyed golf, painting and drawing, playing guitar and piano, singing in the church choir and a host of other hobbies. Never one to sit still, Bill was active in his community, his church and volunteering. He served on many boards of directors and civic organizations including Baptist Hospital, MS Museum of Art, Keep MS Beautiful and Clinton Chamber of Commerce. He was a skilled problem-solver, loved to work in his yard and was always helping others. He loved the Lord and led by example in everything he did. His kind, strong ways will be dearly missed by his loved ones and friends. Bill is survived by his wife, Ann Marie, his daughter Leianne, his son Michael , his sisters Lynn Hill and Diane Record and his brother Richard Loveless. A funeral service is scheduled for 11am on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Alta Woods Baptist Church, 168 Colonial Dr.,Jackson, MS. 39204 (with visitation at 10am at the church). Burial will be at the cemetery in Osyka, MS at 3pm following a short reception at the church. There will also be a visitation from 5-7pm on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS.
