Mr. Bill Stovall

William “Bill” Ratliff Stovall, Sr., 80, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home in Terry. Visitation will be 10:00am until the 11:00am funeral service Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Stovall was a native of Clinton, having lived most of his life in Jackson and for the past 20 years lived in Terry. He was a Fire Fighter and EMT with the Jackson Fire Department for 32 years, retiring in 1992 as Captain. Mr. Stovall was a member of Wynndale Baptist Church and his wife, children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Francis Davis Stovall and Jennie Sue Lazarus Stovall and his sister, Sue Stovall. Survivors include his devoted wife of 62 years, Carolyn Stovall of Terry; sons, Toby (Nahna) Stovall and Steve (Laurie) Stovall, all of Brandon; daughter, Martha Kaye Russell (Ronnie) of Terry; grandchildren, Carrie Thames, Lauren Stovall, Stuart Stovall, Brad Stovall, Danna Stovall and Hannah Stovall; two great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Stovall of Houston, TX.
