Mrs. Billie Jo Davis

July 18, 1935 — December 21, 2020

Mrs. Billie Jo Davis, 85, passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, December 21, 2020 at University Hospital in Jackson, MS. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 26th from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service all at Harrisville Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born July 18, 1935 in Mendenhall, MS. She worked as a Mail Room Supervisor at Kemper Insurance for many years. She loved to travel, especially her annual trip to Gatlinburg, TN. She loved to cook and was known for her biscuits and her chicken and dumplings. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and playing cards with her friends every Thursday. She also enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She loved her family dearly. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Erma Hughes; her husband, Wilkie Sandifer; her sister, Ina Bridges; her brothers, Lonnie and Burnell Hughes; granddaughter, Madison Nicole Doty; and grandson, Daniel Adam Doty. She is survived by her son, Billy Earl Sandifer (Linda) of Harrisville; daughters, Deborah Johnson (Ronnie) of Harrisville and Beverly Doty (Levi) of Kosciusko; sister, Carolyn Addy of Hazlehurst; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
