Billy was born on October 26, 1962, to Hugh Evans Davis and Patricia Dale Pangman in Twentynine Palms, CA. He was raised in Michigan but has lived in the Florence community for the past 16 years. Billy enjoyed camping and loved to collect guns. He also had a great collection of remote-control cars.

Billy is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Evans Davis, and stepfather, Cal Hart. He is survived by his wife, Melinda Davis of Florence; mother, Patricia Hart of Alabama; children, Laura Davis of Atlanta, Kristin Davis of Georgia, Rachel Mullins (Corey) of Augusta, GA, Nick Davis of Michigan, Ashley Davis of Michigan, Josh Davis of Washington, Kaiina Turberville (Jesse) of Florence, Angela Carraway (James) of Gloster, and Derrick Jackson (Ashley) of Crystal Springs; 19 grandchildren; brother Randy Leyrer of Texas; sisters, Linnette Coselmon of Michigan, Debbie Hawk of Nevada, Tammy Guynn of Alabama, and Shelly Lipp of Michigan; and best friend/work wife, Mark King of Winfied, TN.
