Billy Therrell Hardy, 78, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Methodist Specialty in Flowood, Mississippi. There will be a private family Memorial Service at a later date. Mr. Hardy was born in House, MS (Neshoba County) and was a resident of Rankin County for over 60 years. After retiring from Sysco Food Service, he went to work for Cline Tours in Ridgeland for 17 years. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and working outside. He loved to sit on his porch and enjoyed talking to people. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Hardy is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Lauada Hardy; brothers, Harris, Carley and Elmer Hardy; and sister, Madie McNeese. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Perry Hardy of Richland; son, Dennis Hardy (Debbie) of Byram; daughter, Emily Hardy of Clinton; step son, Russell Stubblefield (Lauren) of Utica; step daughter, Jana Grissett of Texas; nephew (raised as a brother) Edwin Hardy of Philadelphia; sister, Martha Highsmith of Georgia; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
