Mr. Billy Nelson Irby

Billy Nelson Irby, 39, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Sunday, August 14th from 6-8 PM and Monday, August 15th from 9 AM until the 10 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery in Simpson County. Billy was a member of New Covenant Church in Harrisville. He was very fun loving, compassionate, and generous. He loved his family, loved Jesus, and was his mom’s helper. Billy was a Special Olympian with horses. For 20 years, people have been bringing him aluminum cans for him to crush and cash them in so he could buy everybody Christmas presents and pay his tithe. Billy is preceded in death by his grandmother, Etta Mae McNay. He is survived by his mom and dad, Louis and Donna of Harrisville; brothers Donny Irby of Florence and Keith Irby of Harrisville; niece and nephew, Holly and Ty Irby; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
